There is a place I know

Where the wild winds blow.

You really shouldn’t go near.

Any creature there

Lives in fear

When the wild winds blow.

They sculpt the rocks

And the valley bed

Where once a river flowed.

In winter they howl,

How they howl,

It can ice your blood, that’s so.

Snow doesn’t fall

Where the wild winds blow.

But the crippling cold

Can crack the rocks

Destroying anything that grows.

I went there once

Where the wild winds blow

Lost three toes

And part of my nose.

Don’t laugh,

It’s not funny

Just don’t go!
