Wings of wax and feathers,
We glide
From this maze,
But remember:
Don’t fly
Too close to the sun;
Or hopes and dreams
Will melt.
Now leap,
We go together.
Like I saw it with my own eyes,
Saw the blaze as he fell
And Daedalus flew on,
While his only son
Crash landed
In the ocean.
But he wasn’t dead,
Instead
Lives in my heart today.
